About Us

We are Rikto Xonghoti, a group of Bitcoin maxis with the aim of bringing awareness about freedom technology to the Assamese population. Our primary tools are the Bitcoin orange pill 🟠💊 and occasionally the nostr purple pill 🍆.

Basanta Goswami

Basanta is the tech guy of Xonghoti. He is a software developer working on a few FOSS projects related to nostr.

What we do

We are providing the bitcoin diploma created by Mi Primer Bitcoin to students in Assam, India.

We are also translating books, articles and even tweet threads that explain bitcoin to the Assamese language. We will create our own content related to bitcoin (and nostr and other stuff) as well.

We have a monthly live discussion over Twitter Spaces (or Nostr Nests) that discusses issues unique to local bitcoiners. We organised the first bitcoin meetup of Assam will have more meetups in the future focused on the local communities of Assam.

Recent achievements

  • We are in the process of translating the Bitcoin Whitepaper and book 21 Lessons by Dergigi to Assamese.
  • We have held recorded spaces on Twitter discussing the whitepaper and every single concept behind it in details over multiple months.
  • We hosted the first ever Bitcoin-only meetup of not only Assam but of entire North East India
  • We hosted a Bitcoin themed quiz competition and workshop among high school kids and gave prizes in sats on children’s day.
  • We hosted an online seminar for younger kids in another state.
  • We became the first light node of MPB in India and started providing the diploma.
